OUR STORY
Founded in 1986 by mechanical engineer Edward Pentz, EMP Industries, Inc. was born from Ed’s vision of creating a lasting family legacy. Driven by entrepreneurial spirit, his dream was to build a company where his entire family could work together—and with EMP, that dream became reality.
Originally based in Bensalem, PA, EMP specialized in the design and assembly of custom equipment for the semiconductor, food packaging, and pharmaceutical industries.
GROWTH & INNOVATION
1990: Relocated to a 3,500 sq. ft. facility in Ivyland, PA, expanding into in-house
machining and manufacturing.
1992: Purchased the first CNC mill, establishing EMP as a full-service manufacturing and assembly provider.
1990s–2015: Recognized as a leading designer, manufacturer, and assembler of custom equipment
across multiple industries.
2015: Strategic shift toward CNC machining, leveraging core strengths to become a
premier machining company.
2017: EMP moved into its current 13,600 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility and achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification offering a full range of precision services, including:
